During a holiday in the U.S., my dad and I became interested in disc golf after seeing metal baskets on a soccer golf course. So we bought a starter pack of discs but struggled to throw them properly. We soon after put them away in a sports cupboard declaring the discs to be useless. Years later I rediscovered my interest in the sport after playing around with friends and receiving coaching from Phillip Botha of NZDSS at Jellie Park. This has since led me to compete in tournaments around New Zealand and improve my PDGA rating by over 60 points.
